Founded by Wes Overvold, OV Films is drawn to stories that resonate on a deeper level. Our approach to filmmaking is rooted in finding compelling characters, honest moments, and the emotion that ties it all together.
Wes began studying film at Savannah Arts Academy in coastal Georgia and continued honing his craft at Appalachian State University. Since then, his work has taken him from the Rockies to Alaska to remote Himalayan villages, where he co-directed his first feature documentary, Helambu.
At the core of OV Films' work is a love for stories about resilience. Whether it’s people pushing themselves, wild landscapes that stir something deep, or communities preserving their traditions, our goal is always the same: to create films that feel real and stay with you.
